Many popular cooking courses help visitors learn to cook mouth-watering Thai delicacies. Explore the National Park to capture some wildlife in action. Also, do not miss to take a stroll around the old town in Koh Lanta. The old town is a small village with sea-facing teak stilted houses. You can also enjoy some island hopping by a boat tour.

Reaching Koh Lanta

You can easily reach Koh Lanta from Krabi or Ao Nang. From there, you can either take a ferry or a bus to reach Koh Lanta. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Which one is better? Well, that’s a choice of preference, time, and availability. Normally, a single ferry moves throughout the day but you need to commute to your hotel on your own. The bus, on the other hand, drops you at your respective hotel. The ferry provides a comfortable ride and gives you the opportunity to view other nearby islands. Being a tropical paradise, Koh Lanta has consistent temperature all year long. But some months witness unpredictable rainfall showers. So, it is best to visit Koh Lanta during the month of November to April. Koh Lanta receives maximum visitors during December and January. Avoiding peak season may get you some discount on accommodation.
